Hey Daniel,

Sooo...here are some links for you to enjoy, post birthday. :)

http://browse.deviantart.com/?q=un+lun+dun#/art/Yorick-Cavea-252229454?_sid=2ad035ec Fanart of the adventurer Yorick Cavea, from Un Lun Dun. I like Yorick and his appearance. He looks very surreal. Having a birdcage as a head would be creepy and a pain though. Imagine if someone tried to knock the cage off...

http://browse.deviantart.com/?q=un+lun+dun#/art/Un-Lun-Dun-Line-Up-119863839?_sid=2f24ecf2 A line up of the characters from Un Lun Dun. I like the facial expressions and gestures (especially Unstible's "I know something you don't know, nyeh nyeh" smirk). They're so funny and make each character stand out.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmdoDcNBt0E Phantom of the Opera. Nicole Scherzinger singing with the 4 phantoms Simon Bowman, Earl Carpenter, Ramin Karimloo (who plays Javert in the Les Mis musical) and John Owen-Jones - in commemoration of the musical The Phantom Of The Opera's 25th year anniversary. Amazing pipes, what can I say?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CjutE9wffY Featurette on the film Going Postal. Based on the Discworld novel by Terry Pratchett. Charles Dance (who plays the Patrician) discusses Lord Vetinari, how the Discworld reminds him of Dickens and Pratchett's genius.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqruV13e9es Andrew Sachs on playing the hilarious and likeable character Mr Groat, from Going Postal. Here he talks about how he enjoys the script and being impressed by the Discworld (like anyone with good taste :) ). Stanley running in yelling,"Don't you hurt Mr Groat!" and swinging a heavy object is classic. XD

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&v=_eJFPZpIxiY&NR=1 Richard Coyle on playing Moist Von Lipvig in Going Postal. He loves the weirdness of the Discworld. I like how he mentions the volunteers on set are so into playing a role and know so much about the setting. I loved his quote on Charles Dance amazing portrayal of Vetinari: "As soon as he stepped out of the carriage everything was going to be fine". Coyle also discusses Moist's touching relationship with Mr Pump. Also liked his enthusiasm about the cast's supportiveness and awe at working with other acting legends.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0SWaGfkPxA The Confrontation, from the Les Mis musical. Philip Quast is the best Javert I have seen, and Colm Wilkinson is meant to play Jean Valjean, as far as I'm concerned. I hope you enjoy it!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPIos2mXbUE Who am I? from the Les Mis musical. This song really captures Valjean's internal struggle to do the right thing no matter what the cost.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJwVoUWR7vM One More Day, also from the Les Mis musical. Multilanguage. The German part sung by Enjolras is rousing. And Spanish Javert! Need I say more? :) There's a thrilling part sung in Swedish too.

Awwww, thank you! It's all great! :D

Hmm, it's been so long since I read Un Lun Dun that I can't exactly remember who the characters are. Maybe I should remedy that.

I think having a birdcage as a head is quite acceptable behaviour in Unlondon, though. I doubt he'd like it if someone tried to knock it off, but then, you wouldn't like it if someone tried to knock your head off either... ;)

Ooooh, a Discworld movie? It looks great. :o It's good that they seem to realise that Discworld isn't WACKY!!! (the way that other adaptations have tried to make it), the humour is pretty understated and comes from the fact that things there almost makes sense, just not the kind of sense you're used to. I love the guy they got playing the Patrician - the man is SCARY. 0_0;

Philip Quast is the best, I have his rendition of "Stars" on my favourite playlist. :) And "Confrontation" is very cool - I love how the two of them end up basically just screaming at each other, neither one listening to the other, because their perspectives are just too fundamentally different that they can't understand each other at all. A very nice summary of both the characters and their relationship. ;)
