Hey there all,

I'd like to shine a bit of a spotlight on Poetry International Web:

http://international.poetryinternationalweb.org/piw_cms/cms/cms_module/index.php?obj_name=international

The website contains video clips, poems, articles on poetry and poetry related news. It also includes poems (with translations into English) from some of the greatest poets around the globe. I'm chuffed that there's a section with Australian poems, but I am disappointed that there isn't a section on the site for poems by South East Asian nations, First nations people, Central Americans Soth Americans and more African nations.

Still, it's worth a peek for lovers the written/spoken word. Enjoy!

You're very welcome. :) Which poets do you like the best?

I love some of the classical Roman poets, like Catullus and Ovid (I adored Ovid's poem Love and War, as it's simple, yet dramatic and passionate. Didn't like the ageist lines 'imagine an aged soldier, an elderly lover' - as if older people can't be lovers or soldiers!). Also enjoy Wilfred Owen's war poetry (which is very poignant, graphic and confronting).

I remember reading some Wilfred Owen in high school and thinking the same thing about him.

And I'm very fond of E. E. Cummings.
