Urge US to tell the truth about torture through an independent commission

Another classified report came out on Tuesday 21 April 2009. While the Bush Administration was publically saying the torturing at Abu Ghraib was just committed by a few people, this report clearly shows that torture was approved of and even encouraged in military detention centers.

Now, national newspapers are reporting the President is now open to an investigation.

There's a rising risk that the US may carry out an investigation that lacks independence, backing by the law, and enough funding to reveal the whole truth about the illegal, U.S. torture program.

According to Amnesty International USA, we need an independent commission that is free from political influences, and has the subpoena power and enough money to expose the whole truth.
