TEEN LINE is based on the premise that when teenagers encounter problems, they usually turn first to their peers for advice. Many teens think their parents can't possibly understand what's happening in their lives and that their friends might laugh or abandon them. TEEN LINE provides a safe, confidential place to talk things out with another teen.

The Center provides counseling to individuals, couples and families by addressing depression, loneliness, marital and family problems, anxiety and relationships. It offers a variety services including individual therapy, group therapy, couple and family counseling, Fiercely independent, the Center has never sought or received government funding... Every volunteer counselor contributes to the Center's financial security with a monthly pledge. Other funding is generated from client fees, grants, and individual donations. |
Our funding policy has served SCCC well ... the Center has never had to cut client services because of reduced government funding unlike other agencies depending on such subsidy. Since it doesn't have to abide by the bureaucratic red-tape that goes along with accepting government funding, the Center is able to quickly respond to community needs by developing creative new programs in a timely fashion.
