I’m glad these books are on your to read list! The action and plotting can move slowly at times, but the characterisation, wit and humour is great and the mythology of the fictional world in these books about their equivalent of angels and the Fae is very interesting. 🙂
Other reading recommendations I have are The Lynburn Legacy by Sarah Rees Brennan, which is sweet, thrilling, hilarious and poignant.
I’d also strongly recommend the Vietnamese Australian comedian Ang Do’s autobiography The Happiest Refugee, which is moving, positive and funny despite being heartbreaking.
I definitely recommend any poetry by Pablo Neruda, as it’s beautiful, lyrical, emotional and thoughtful.
