please help out a blogger who was laid off and has run out of savings

Hi everyone, I'd like to help share Katy and her Mom's story. Katy is a brave, strong, incredibly creative and articulate young writer and artist and fellow blogger. Her Mom is a young widow and also funny, brave, insightful and articulate...and unfortunately was laid off and ran out of savings before finding another job (all too common in this economy.) So they're both staying in the family car until things turn around, and have blogs where they share their experiences.

I offered to take a look at Katy's mom's resume and help her present her skills as positively and pro-actively as possible, and to take them out for coffee ;) I was wondering, since we've just finished the holidays, if anyone out there has extra gift cards they are not going to use which they could pass along, or would like to drop the family a card or note of encouragement.

Also there's a PayPal address set up by a friend of the family who passes along all donations - but they're just glad to receive love and encouragement.

They were featured on several local news affiliates (ABC, CBS, etc) so the story is legit. Also author Brandilyn Collins has befriended the family and is keeping track of them.
