Chord progressions I, IV and V.

Chord progressions one, four and five for the C major scale:
Chord one - C, E, G. C is the first interval in the C major scale.

Chord four - F, A, C. F is the fourth interval (piano key) in the C major scale.

Chord five - G, B, D. G is the fifth interval in the C major scale.

The most popular basic chord progression for piano is 1, 4, and 5 - I, IV and V - one, four and five.
