Recipe: tartar sauce and more!

Below are my favourite recipes from Emily Hambrick's EmilyCooks.com Retro Recipes e-books. :-)

Tartar sauce recipe:
Yield one cup
1 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon grated onion
2 tablespoons minced pill pickle
1 tablespoon minced parsley
2 tablespoons minced pimento
Mix all ingredients and enjoy! Serve with seafood.

Quick barbecue sauce:
Yield one and a quarter cups

1 cup ketchup
One quarter cup of vinegar
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons mustard
One quarter hot water

Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, until sauce bubbles and begins to boil. Remove pan from heat, if necessary thin the sauce with more water to the desired consistency. Serve with barbecued meat or vegetables and enjoy!

Medium thick gravy recipe:
2 tablespoons fat
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
1 cup stock or cooking juices

Remove meat from pan it was cooked in.
Drain off the fat, measure back the amount needed for gravy recipe you're using.
Whisk in flour and cook until bubbly.

Remove pan from heat and very slowly whisk in the stock.
Put pan back on heat, bring to boil (bubbles appear in the sauce) and cook for one minute.
season as desired.

Serve gravy with roasted meat (chicken, beef, pork), and/or roasted vegetables and enjoy! :-)
