Hi, my name is Stephanie and I have a very small, but big wish:
I want to have the money to pay for my car and get far from where I am...
I have a restraining order on him, I've been to a battered woman's shelter (that was just ridiculous and did could do nothing to help me), but that's not going to protect me. A piece of paper can't save me.
I'm too scared to sleep at my parent's house, every small sound I hear, I jump and start to have a panic attack, thinking he's coming back.
Now, I sleep in my car, constantly moving around to different parking lots, spending the day with my mom and what not, but too scared to sleep in a place that can't quickly be moved.
I can't get unemployment because for my first job, I waited too long to apply or didn't work there long enough to really collect any and everything else I was being paid under the table. My food stamps run out this month and I'm running out of gas money to keep me warm (I'm back in Illinois). All my bills are past due by a month, so my internet and phone is about to be shut off. (No, my parents can't help me, my dad gets laid off every other week and my mom and brother don't work.)
I just want to go somewhere that he can't reach me and be there long enough that he loses interest.
All I want for Christmas is help. Actual help. Not someone telling me to tough it or telling me it's my fault . . . I just want help.
